Kirin® Industries Expands Manufacturing Capacity with Acquisition of Second Crestmead Facility
New Manufacturing Hub Strengthens Queensland Manufacturing and Supports Future Industry 4.0 Growth
CRESTMEAD, QLD – Kirin® Industries has announced the acquisition of 146 Magnesium Drive, Crestmead, together with a planned refurbishment and upgrade program, marking a significant milestone in the company's continued investment in Australian manufacturing, innovation and long-term growth.
The expansion increases Kirin® Industries' operational footprint to approximately 7,000 square metres of industrial land and more than 2,700 square metres of workshop and production space across two strategically located facilities in Crestmead, Queensland.
The investment establishes a dedicated Manufacturing Hub and a separate Fit-Out and Delivery Hub, creating the foundation for increased production capacity, advanced manufacturing technologies and future workforce growth.
As South East Queensland prepares for continued economic growth and infrastructure development leading towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond, Kirin Industries is positioning itself to support Australia's transport and logistics industries through locally designed and manufactured commercial vehicle solutions.

The newly acquired facility at 146 Magnesium Drive will become Kirin® Industries' primary Manufacturing Hub.
The site will focus on:

The facility's larger workshop areas, overhead crane capacity and flexible production space provide the infrastructure required for increased manufacturing output and future equipment investment.
Fit-Out and Delivery Hub – 55 Magnesium Drive
The existing facility at 55 Magnesium Drive will continue operating as Kirin® Industries' dedicated Fit-Out and Delivery Hub.
The site will focus on:
• Vehicle completion and fit-out
• Truck body installations
• Tail lift installations
• Quality assurance and final inspections
• Customer handovers
• After-sales support and service
This structure allows manufacturing and vehicle completion activities to operate independently while improving workflow efficiency and reducing production bottlenecks.
Significant Investment in Manufacturing Infrastructure
In addition to the acquisition, Kirin® Industries has committed a full refurbishment and upgrading the new facility.
The investment program will include workshop improvements, electrical infrastructure upgrades, compressed air systems, equipment installation, material handling capability enhancements, safety improvements and site presentation works.
The refurbishment will transform the facility into a modern manufacturing hub capable of supporting future production growth and advanced manufacturing technologies.
